Exceptions
The restriction does not apply to vehicles of the Hungarian Defence Forces, the police, the national security services, the prison service, disaster management, the customs authority and the transport authority, to vehicles carrying out disaster and flood prevention and relief, technical, accident and cargo rescue, or municipal services. Nor does it apply to vehicles carrying exclusively fresh flowers or live plants, vehicles used for goods transport connected with harvesting, feed transport or the relocation of agricultural machinery, vehicles carrying live animals, fresh milk and dairy products, fresh and frozen meat and meat products, fresh bakery products, perishable foodstuffs, eggs, fresh vegetables, fruit and grain, vehicles carrying equipment and animals for cultural, economic and sporting events, and vehicles travelling empty for these purposes. Outside the period set out in § 2 (1) (a), combined goods transport is also exempt (§ 5 of Government Decree 190/2008).

A korlátozás nem vonatkozik a Magyar Honvédség, a rendőrség, a nemzetbiztonsági szolgálatok, a büntetés-végrehajtás, a katasztrófavédelem, a vámhatóság és a közlekedési hatóság járműveire, a katasztrófa- és vízkárelhárítást, megelőzést és segítségnyújtást végző, a műszaki, baleseti és rakománymentést végző, valamint a kommunális feladatot ellátó járművekre. Nem vonatkozik továbbá a kizárólag friss virágot vagy élő növényeket szállító, a betakarításhoz kapcsolódó áruszállításhoz, takarmányszállításhoz vagy mezőgazdasági munkagép áttelepítéséhez használt, az élő állatot, friss tejet és tejterméket, friss és fagyasztott húst és hústerméket, friss pékárut, gyorsan romló élelmiszert, tojást, friss zöldséget, gyümölcsöt és gabonát szállító, a kulturális, gazdasági és sportrendezvényekhez berendezéseket és állatokat szállító járművekre, valamint az e célok érdekében üresen közlekedő járművekre. A 2. § (1) bekezdés a) pontja szerinti időszakon kívül mentesül a kombinált áruszállítás is (190/2008. Korm. rendelet 5. §).

General rules
Regular calendar bans apply on set days: Sundays, public holidays and seasonal periods.
The restriction applies to all public roads in the country for a maximum permissible gross weight over 7.5 tonnes. Between 4 November and 1 March, the restriction under § 2 (1) (b) and (2) does not apply to trucks of at least EURO 3 (environmental class 7) operating in international traffic.

A korlátozás az ország valamennyi közútjára vonatkozik, 7,5 tonna megengedett legnagyobb össztömeg felett. November 4. és március 1. között a 2. § (1) bekezdés b) pontja és (2) bekezdése szerinti korlátozás nem vonatkozik a legalább EURO 3 (7-es) környezetvédelmi osztályú, nemzetközi forgalomban közlekedő tehergépkocsira.
