Terms of Use
1. Purpose and scope
ConvoyMeet is an information service for mutual help between drivers: a map, user statuses, parking search, messaging and SOS. These Terms apply to the public website convoymeet.com, the Telegram Mini App and, once released, the standalone Android and iOS apps. The availability of specific features depends on the platform, version and region. By using the available features of ConvoyMeet, the user undertakes to comply with these Terms and with applicable law. The processing of personal data is described separately in the Privacy Policy: convoymeet.com/privacy.
2. Operator and contacts
The ConvoyMeet service is provided by Dzemyanovich Aliaksandr, Italy. General questions, reports of violations and account-related requests: info@convoymeet.com. Questions about the processing of personal data are governed by the Privacy Policy.
3. Account and security
For features that require authorisation, the user signs in using the method available in the specific version; the Telegram Mini App uses Telegram. The user is responsible for the security of their account on the relevant platform and must not impersonate another person, use someone else’s account without permission or circumvent access restrictions. Profile data, statuses and messages must be given in good faith and must not mislead other drivers. Do not share documents, passwords, bank details or other information not intended for public disclosure in open chats.
4. Road safety
Do not use the app while driving in a way that distracts you from driving or breaks local traffic rules. Stop in a permitted, safe place before writing messages, looking at the map or responding to requests. ConvoyMeet is not a navigation system, a transport dispatcher, a security service or an emergency service. Information about routes, parking, restrictions and road conditions may be incomplete or out of date; check road signs, rules, access restrictions and actual conditions yourself.
5. Respectful communication
In private chats, parking chats, SOS and other user areas the following are prohibited: threats and incitement to violence; bullying, harassment, humiliation and discriminatory insults; persistent repeated messages and spam; fraud, phishing and soliciting money; advertising without permission provided for by the service; illegal content; publishing other people’s personal data or correspondence without a proper basis; impersonating another person, the administration or an emergency service. Disagreement and criticism are acceptable as long as they do not break these requirements. Do not publish messages or images whose rights do not belong to you unless you have lawful permission.
6. Statuses, location and contact
Statuses are turned on by the user and are valid for a limited time. While the “Parked here” and “Looking for company” statuses are active, the exact coordinates may be visible to signed-in users who share a selected language and are viewing the relevant area of the map. Active SOS are visible in the relevant area of the map regardless of language. Seeing a card does not guarantee that you can write to its author: contact requests are subject to the current technical conditions and restrictions of the service. Do not use another person’s location to stalk, monitor or spread information about that person outside ConvoyMeet.
7. Parking and user-provided information
Information about parking, free spaces, facilities and road conditions may come from users and third-party sources. Share only information you believe to be accurate, and correct or delete wrong information where the relevant feature is available. It is not allowed to deliberately create false marks, mislead drivers, reserve spaces for others without the right to do so or obstruct the lawful use of a parking area. ConvoyMeet does not book spaces and does not guarantee their availability, safety, price, whether parking is permitted or suitability for a particular truck.
8. SOS and mutual help
Use SOS in good faith for a real need for help or information in the categories provided. Knowingly false reports of emergencies, pranks, attempts to solicit money and abuse of responses are prohibited. Help from other users is voluntary: ConvoyMeet does not guarantee a response, arrival time, the helper’s skills or the outcome. In the event of an immediate threat to life or health, a fire, a crime or a road accident, contact the relevant official services first; in the EU the common emergency number is 112. Do not take dangerous actions or break the law in order to help.
9. Personal blocks and reports
In a private chat the user may use the provided feature to permanently block another driver. It ends further private communication between them but does not in itself exclude participation in shared parking or SOS chats. In parking chats you can report a specific message by choosing a reason and, if you wish, adding a comment. A report is passed on for review and does not in itself mean that the message is automatically deleted or its author blocked. Do not submit knowingly false or mass bad-faith reports. For messages and situations where there is no report button, write to info@convoymeet.com with the necessary details, without publishing other people’s data openly.
10. Review of violations and measures
On receiving a report of a possible violation, the operator may assess the available information and take proportionate measures within the technical capabilities actually provided and applicable law: issue a warning, restrict access to certain features, remove illegal content or restrict the account. The specific measure depends on the nature of the violation, the circumstances and whether it is repeated. Round-the-clock review or instant response is not promised. The user may ask for an explanation or contest a decision via info@convoymeet.com. Mandatory notice, appeal and complaint-handling procedures, if they apply to ConvoyMeet under EU law, must be implemented and described before the corresponding measures are applied publicly.
11. Photos, messages and rights to content
By publishing text, photos and other content, the user confirms that they have the necessary rights and permissions to post it and make it available to other users within the features of the service. Do not publish images of documents, other people’s personal data, restricted sites or content that breaks the law or infringes the rights of third parties. The user retains the rights to their own content and grants the operator a limited, non-exclusive permission to technically store, transmit, display and delete it to the extent necessary for the relevant features to work and to comply with the law. Deletion, retention periods and the possible retention of reports are described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Prohibited technical actions
Unauthorised access to other people’s accounts and data, attempts to circumvent authorisation, blocks and rate limits, automated collection of coordinates or profiles, mass messaging, malicious code, interference with the operation of the service, creating artificial load and using the app for illegal activities are prohibited. Do not try to obtain the exact location of other users outside the provided interface.
13. Availability and external services
ConvoyMeet is provided as technically available. Individual features depend on Telegram, map providers, geolocation, the network connection and other third-party services. Errors, delays, maintenance and interface changes are possible. The operator may develop, fix and temporarily suspend features, taking into account applicable obligations towards users. External websites and apps opened via links are governed by their own terms; ConvoyMeet does not control their content.
14. Liability
ConvoyMeet does not verify the accuracy of every user message and does not guarantee the availability of parking, the availability of help, uninterrupted operation of the map or the accuracy of third-party data. The user makes their own decisions about routes, parking, sharing personal information and meeting other people. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits the operator’s liability where such exclusion is prohibited by law, nor does it affect mandatory consumer rights. Liability for users’ unlawful actions is determined by applicable law and the circumstances of the specific case.
15. Account deletion and termination of use
The user may stop using the service and delete their account via the feature provided in the app. Detailed information about the consequences of deletion and possible exceptions is available in the Privacy Policy and on the page convoymeet.com/delete-account. Deleting an account does not automatically remove notifications already delivered or copies of content on other users’ devices. Restriction of an account because of violations, if such a feature is used, must be accompanied by the notices and means of appeal required by law.
16. Changes to the Terms and applicable law
The operator may update the Terms as features and legislation change. The current version is published at convoymeet.com/terms; users are notified of material changes in an appropriate way where required. Relations are governed by the law determined by mandatory conflict-of-law rules; the mandatory rights of users and consumers in their country of residence are preserved. Disputes may be addressed to info@convoymeet.com; the possibility of turning to a competent court or authority is not limited by these Terms.
