Exceptions
Exceptions provided for by the regulation: transport of live animals, perishable foodstuffs of animal or plant origin, flowers, cut flowers or potted plants; unladen journeys connected with such transport towards Germany; transport of materials essential for the organisation of duly authorised economic, sporting, cultural, educational or political events; transport of agricultural products from the place of harvest to storage, packing or processing sites during the harvest period; transport of press products; removal of offices or factories; vehicles of traders going to markets and fairs; transport of goods between the place of loading and a transhipment station or vice versa, provided the distance does not exceed 200 km and the transport is towards Germany; emergency vehicles of the Police, the Army, Customs, civil protection and the fire service.

Exceptions prévues par le règlement : transport d'animaux vivants, de denrées alimentaires périssables d'origine animale ou végétale, de fleurs, de fleurs coupées ou en pot; trajets à vide en relation avec ces transports en direction de l'Allemagne; transport de matériaux essentiels à l'organisation de manifestations économiques, sportives, culturelles, pédagogiques ou politiques dûment autorisées; transport de produits agricoles du lieu de récolte vers les lieux de stockage, d'emballage ou de traitement pendant la période de récolte; transport de produits de la presse; déménagement de bureaux ou de fabriques; véhicules de marchands se rendant aux marchés et foires; transport de biens entre le lieu de chargement et une gare de transbordement ou inversement, si la distance ne dépasse pas 200 km et que le transport s'effectue en direction de l'Allemagne; véhicules d'urgence de la Police, de l'Armée, de la Douane, de la protection civile et des pompiers.

General rules
Regular calendar bans apply on set days: Sundays, public holidays and seasonal periods.
The ban covers trucks IN TRANSIT over 7,500 kg towards France and towards Germany; the times differ depending on the direction. Transit towards Belgium and transport within the Grand Duchy are not affected. The lists of public holidays taken into account are not the same for the two directions.
