Exceptions
Exempt are, among others: combined rail/road transport (up to 200 km) and port/road transport (up to 150 km), fresh foodstuffs (milk, meat, fish, fruit, vegetables), animal by-products of categories 1 and 2, breakdown assistance and towing vehicles, live bees, unladen journeys connected with these trips, and vehicles of the Bundeswehr and allied armed forces.

Ausgenommen sind u. a.: kombinierter Verkehr Schiene/Straße (bis 200 km) und Hafen/Straße (bis 150 km), frische Lebensmittel (Milch, Fleisch, Fisch, Obst, Gemüse), tierische Nebenprodukte Kat. 1 und 2, Pannenhilfe- und Abschleppfahrzeuge, lebende Bienen, Leerfahrten im Zusammenhang mit diesen Fahrten sowie Fahrzeuge der Bundeswehr und verbündeter Streitkräfte.

Under § 30 (4) StVO, Reformation Day is a public holiday for the purposes of the driving ban only in the listed federal states.

Regular calendar bans apply on set days: Sundays, public holidays and seasonal periods.
Corpus Christi, Reformation Day and All Saints Day apply only in those federal states where they are statutory public holidays (§ 30 (4) StVO).
